Human lactoferrin
Lactoferrin is one of nature's most powerful proteins, and it's found throughout our bodies – from breastmilk to immune cells.
Its functionality is unmatched.

OUR FLAGSHIP INGREDIENT
Human lactoferrin's potential to support health and wellbeing is nearly endless.
THE CHALLENGE
Traditionally, lactoferrin is sourced from cow's milk, requiring 10,000 litres to produce just 1kg – making it unsustainable, expensive, and difficult to scale. What's more, it's structurally different from what our bodies naturally produce and recognise.
we're changing that
Eclipse produces the human version of lactoferrin from yeast, through precision fermentation – equivalent to what's found in the human body, but without the constraints of traditional sourcing.

How we make it
We use precision fermentation – a technology that builds on ancient fermentation principles behind bread, cheese, and beer – but with modern precision and control that's been trusted in pharmaceutical manufacturing for decades.
We start by adding the DNA of lactoferrin into yeast cells. The yeast goes into fermenters (imagine brewery tanks with scientific precision). As it grows and multiplies, it naturally produces human-equivalent lactoferrin – just like brewing beer, but instead of alcohol, we get this remarkable protein.
Finally, we extract and purify the lactoferrin, creating an ingredient that's ready to transform health and wellbeing.
The power of lactoferrin
This remarkable protein works in multiple ways to support our health and wellbeing: fighting inflammation, combating harmful microbes, nurturing our microbiome, strengthening immunity, and enhancing iron absorption.
For babies, it's one of the most abundant proteins in breastmilk, and is nature's way of protecting and nourishing new life.
